Why would anyone stitch fabric onto paper? The benefit is that the paper keeps the fabric from stretching creating precise piecing, consistently sized blocks, and sharp points. Foundation paper piecing also allows for the creation of shapes that would be difficult to make using traditional piecing methods. In this class, you’ll make beautiful hexagon blocks while I guide you step by step through the technique and show you how to use the tools that make it easier. Choose your favorite from the three pattern options: Striped Hexi’s, Equilateral Gone Awry, and Nuts About You. This class is best suited for open minded quilters of all skill levels who are ready to add a new technique to their tool belt. No previous experience with foundation paper piecing is needed.
