The Valley Quilters is a very active guild that frequently hosts workshops and speakers. They donate security quilts and pillows to their community and provide college scholarships through their opportunity quilt. Their highly acclaimed, well attended annual quilt show is full of colorful creative quilts and unique fabric art with a broad variety of products and services available for purchase. I am so excited to be a part of their show as a vendor. I'll also be providing some amazing door prizes. This is not a show to miss!

Curved Piecing & Many Moons Class

In this class we will explore different techniques for stitching curves. We will then use these techniques to make the Many Moons quilt in the 63" square finished size.
This quilt can be made with so many different fabrics and color schemes. One option would be to show off your favorite big prints in the circles! Use the coloring page to design your layout.

South Bay Quilters Guild Quilt Show

Isn't this opportunity quilt from their show last year stunning! The South Bay Quilters Guild was formed in 1979 in Torrance, California. During the past 44 years they have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars from the proceeds of their yearly opportunity quilt and other activities to local South Bay charities! They have also donated thousands of quilts to children's charities, Quilts for Wounded Warriors, local police and hospitals, and other organizations.

Curved Piecing & Many Moons Workshop

In this class we will explore 3 different ways to stitch curves. Participants will then use these techniques to make the Many Moons quilt in the finished size of their choice, 63" square or 42" square. The smaller quilt has the same layout but smaller blocks.

Participants will also need to purchase the Many Moons pattern. It is available as a PDF download to print at home or a physical pattern that I will mail to you. A quilt show at home means so much to me, Las Vegas is a popular place for conventions so I have always felt that it's a great place for a quilt show! A big thank you to Sandy Baker, our quilt show chair and everyone at DQN for putting this show together! Come check out my booth and the two quilts I entered in the show! Having quilts in a show is a first for me! I've had quilts that I longarmed entered by their makers and once I made my grandma a quilt that she put in her local county fair (I found out when she sent me the ribbon it won, love her) but actually entering one of my quilts is a first!

If you've been wanting to try FPP or have but want to give it a second chance, this is the perfect time! In this class, I'll teach you everything you need to know to make this technique easy. We will be using Striped Hexi's, Equilateral Gone Awry, and Nuts About You, a series of FPP hexagon block patterns that I designed to make learning and mastering this technique a breeze. You only need one of these patterns for the class. I will have the patterns available for purchase at the class along with Add-a-Quarter rulers, glue pens and refills, seam rollers, Martelli rotary cutters, and rotating cutting mats. The International Quilt Festival is the largest annual quilt show in the U.S. and takes place each fall in Houston, Texas with the Long Beach location taking place in 2008-2013, & 2022. Festival regularly attracts 55,000 people from over 35 countries all around the world. There’s shopping, classes, and lectures for all experience levels.
