This is a list of my top 3 most popular workshops however, I am always game to teach any of my quilt patterns so if one of my patterns really speaks to you, I’d be happy to teach it for your guild or event.

Students during Jen's Mastering Curved Piecing with Many Moons Class

Master Curved Piecing with  the "Many Moons" Quilt Pattern:

Have you been wanting to add curves to your quilts but aren’t sure where to start? Then this is the class for you! You’ll learn and experiment with 3 different techniques for curved piecing using the "Many Moons" quilt pattern. This pattern uses large curves because they’re easier to learn on. Bonus: We will also discuss how the use of contrast, color, and fabric change the look of the quilt. It looks modern made in Kona Solids but see it with big prints in the circles and it’s a whole new quilt. Participants can make "Many Moons" or "Broken Moons" as these patterns use the same techniques. Kits are available for "Broken Moons".

Skill level: Beginner to advanced quilter

Foundation Paper Piecing Basics with Hexagon Blocks:

Why would anyone stitch fabric onto paper? The benefit is that the paper keeps the fabric from stretching creating precise piecing, consistently sized blocks, and sharp points. Foundation paper piecing also allows for the creation of shapes that would be difficult to make using traditional piecing methods. In this class, you’ll make beautiful hexagon blocks while I take you step by step through the technique and show you how to use the tools that make it easier. Choose your favorite from the three pattern options: "Striped Hexi's", "Equilateral Gone Awry", or "Nuts About You". This class is best suited for open minded quilters of all skill levels who are ready to add a new technique to their tool belt. No previous experience with foundation paper piecing is needed. Bonus: We will explore block design and I'll show you a trick to make Y seams easy.

Skill level: Beginner to advanced quilter.

Bring a fun charm pack to highlight in the circles or solid fabrics for a modern look. Bonus: We will cover 14 different design options. You'll be amazed how one pattern can make so many different mini quilts!

Skill level: Confident beginner to advanced quilter.
