Retailer Opportunities
- Block-of-the-Month Programs: The throw-size quilt works especially well for a block-of-the-month program using 18 blocks rather than all 32. This creates a more manageable project for participants while still delivering a beautiful quilt and encouraging repeat shop visits.
- Fabric Collection Showcases: Batiks are especially well suited to this project because they typically have no distinction between the right and wrong sides, making fabric placement easier during foundation paper piecing (FPP). Coordinated prints, blenders, and solids also create striking results with either light or dark backgrounds.
- Workshops: An excellent project for teaching foundation paper piecing! Each block is constructed from six equilateral triangles with large, easy-to-manage shapes. Participants repeat the same step six times in a row before moving on to the next, reinforcing each skill through repetition and building confidence as they go. This construction method also lends itself to chain piecing, helping participants work efficiently while keeping the class moving.
- Flexible Project Sizes: Five finished sizes give customers options ranging from a wall quilt to a queen-size quilt.
